Hopefully, with the Port strike effectively over, people will stop hoarding toilet paper (flashbacks to 2020.)
As an expert explained, if the port strikes continued, the shortages would be for things like pharmaceuticals, bananas, alcohol, seafood, electronics, cars, auto parts, and some machinery parts.
Listen to this guy:
“The work stoppage at East Coast and Gulf Coast ports will not have a meaningful impact on toilet paper supplies. Nearly 90 percent of toilet paper used in the United States is domestically produced, with the majority of imported supplies coming from Canada and Mexico over road or rail,” a U.S. Department of Commerce spokesman said.
