The beloved host of the game show Jeopardy, Alex Trebek, made a PSA video for World Pancreatic Cancer Day, revealing that he had begun a second round of chemo.
Less than 7% of patients survive even five years after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, chiefly because there are so few symptoms.
‘I wished I had known sooner that the persistent stomach pain I experienced prior to my diagnosis was a symptom of pancreatic cancer,’ Trebek says in the clip.
‘Other common symptoms can include mid-back pain, unexplained weight loss, new onset diabetes and the yellowing of the skin or eyes.’
