Remember when Trump touted the anti-Malaria drug, hydroxychloroquine, as a ‘game-changer’ in the battle against COVID, despite no evidence supporting that fact ? Now studies show that not only did the drug provide no benefit to patients, but it actually may do more harm than good.

In the study,  veterans sickened by coronavirus who were treated with the malaria pill died at a higher rate than other patients.

About 28 percent who were given hydroxychloroquine plus usual care died, versus 11 percent of those getting routine care alone.
