In North Carolina where vaccination rates are low — only 48.8 % of residents are vaccinated — one Charlotte ad agency found a unique way to get their message across.
So they created a ‘Don’t Get Vaccinated funeral home’ billboard ad for a truck and sent it to where people were tailgating for a football game.
But people who visit the “Wilmore Funeral Home” website are in for a surprise — it actually links to a vaccination help site. Click on it and a “Get vaccinated now” box pops up.
Agency director David Oakley told CNN. “We wanted to do something that saw it from a different perspective and kind of shocks people into thinking, ‘Holy moly, man.'”
Judging by the photos of onlookers around the truck, the message is getting through.
