The next time you sing ‘O Canada’ remember to change the words. Canada’s Senate just passed a bill making the country’s national anthem gender-neutral.

Originally,  here’s how the first few lines of the English version originally read: O Canada! / Our home and native land! / True patriot love in all thy sons command.
The bill changes the phrase “in all thy sons command” to “in all of us command.”
Praised by PM Justin Trudeau and author Marget Atwood (‘The Handmaid’s Tale’) it takes effect immediately. Can we just say, Way To Go Canada!
