Tom Brady officially announced his retirement after 22 years in the NFL.

In an Instagram post the quarterback wrote:

“This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore,” wrote Brady, the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown throws.

“I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention,” he said.

After winning seven Super Bowls, the athlete has decided to move on.
