Breaking News: There has been a terror attack on mosques in Christchurch New Zealand, with over 49 people reported dead. A man in his late 20s has been arrested and police have found his 87-page manifesto filled with anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim ideas.
In the manifesto, which he posted to Facebook, he identifies as a white nationalist.
The police have warned Muslims to not go to their mosques today and to hide in place until they are confident there aren’t other terrorists planned attacks.
World leaders have reached out to New Zealand to offer help and condolences. Former President Barack Obama tweeted we must “stand against hatred in all its forms.”
