The Biden administration is taking executive action to protect undocumented spouses of American citizens.

The White House announced the new policy, saying it ‘will keep families together.’ The new action will protect about 500,000 immigrants from deportation.

“This is the biggest thing since DACA,” an immigration advocate said. the announcement went on to say that while Biden believes in ‘securing the border,’ …

“He also believes in expanding lawful pathways and keeping families together, and that immigrants who have been in the United States for decades, paying taxes and contributing to their communities, are part of the social fabric of our country.”

This provides a “significant benefit to the country” by allowing non-citizens who have been in the country for at least 10 years and are married to a U.S. citizen and their children to apply for permanent residence without leaving the country.

Cynics will say this is just Biden courting the Latino vote, but it has been in the works for some time.
