French fashion designer Thierry Mugler has died at the age of 73, his representatives have announced.
A favorite of many celebrities including Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and the Kardashians, he favored dramatic styles and said he was inspired by 40’s and 50’s glam.
His perfumes — Angel and Alien — became just as popular as his designs.
“We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday January 23rd 2022,” a post on Mugler’s official Facebook account confirmed.
A tribute posted on his Instagram page described Mugler as “a visionary whose imagination… empowered people around the world to be bolder and dream bigger every day.”
