The call came in early Friday morning.
Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was attacked by a man with a hammer after he broke into the couple’s house in SF. Nancy Pelosi was in Washington at the time. With Speaker Pelosi away, there would not have been a security detail at the residence, according to one source familiar with the protocol.
Now hospitalized, Paul Pelosi, 82, is expected to make a full recovery.
According to police reports, the intruder yelled “where is Nancy?” before attacking Paul Pelosi, reminiscent of the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6 where the mob called out for Pelosi.
Police arrested a suspect and his potential motive is under investigation.
