What’s not to love about the boutique Kimpton Carlyle, D.C.? Located in central Dupont Circle, on a leafy block close to shopping, bars, and restaurants plus a metro stop (the only way to navigate the busy city) it’s the ideal headquarters to tour Washington. The national geographic museum is also within walking distance of the hotel.

As with all Kimptons’s, there’s a welcoming common space with comfy couches and chairs, and the always-popular evening (free) wine hour. There’s also gratis tea and coffee in the morning and bike loaners, should you want to cycle your way through the metropolis.

Your room is your sanctuary, shielding you from the hustle and bustle of DC. Think modern but cozy rooms, with Tempurpedic beds with large, fluffy comforters. Don’t blame us if you don’t want to get out of bed. Studios have kitchenettes with two-burner stoves, microwaves, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges, handy for late-night snacking. Rooms start at $179.00.
We could set up house in the lux bathroom complete with fluffy robes and while we were too lazy busy to try the fitness room or the in-room spa services,  you may be more ambitious.

Just steps from your room you’ll find The Riggsby, which is akin to an upscale European pub with romantic and cozy lighting. It was named one of the best restaurants in DC and the chef has the prestigious title of “Best Chef in the Northeast” by the James Beard Foundation.

The staff always have a smile on their face and are eager to make your stay as perfect as possible. Welcome home.
