Dr. Joel Gould has been a cheerleader for Vitamin D for over 5 years. Most people assume they have healthy levels of Vit D because they live in the so-called sunshine state. That’s what I thought until Dr. Gould pressed me to get tested. Sure enough, I was extremely low even though I spent most weekends at the local beach.

To kickstart my system, I followed his recommendation that I take a ‘massive’ dose, then tapered to 10,000 IU and now I’ve settled at 7,000.

Why is Vitamin D (actually, a hormone) important? For one thing, it boosts your immune system and right now we all can use all the help we can get to fight against COVID-19 and all the pesky day-to-day pathogens as well.
