As someone who runs marathons, I wish I’d known about Boost Oxygen sooner. I could have used it around mile 5 — and then for the rest of the NY marathon.
What is it?
BOOST Oxygen is portable 95% ‘pure supplemental oxygen for all-natural respiratory support’. It is used by athletes for recovery and performance, older adults for an active lifestyle, people at high-altitudes for altitude acclimation and those ‘experiencing poor air quality.’
We didn’t know, but the BOOST company says the air we breathe contains only 21% oxygen – the majority is useless, 78% nitrogen.
Our bodies need oxygen to make energy.
It comes in different ‘flavors’ such as three aromatherapy fragrances – Pink Grapefruit, Peppermint, and Menthol-Eucalyptus. Menthol-Eucalyptus and Lavender, so you can find which one suits you best. (We like the natural.)
For instance, Yoga lovers swear by the BALANCE Pink Grapefruit, which, in aromatherapy circles, is believed to reduce stress, uplift mood, and refresh the senses.
To give you an idea of the cost, the Boost Oxygen Natural canister sizes (large 10-liter, Medium 5-liter, and Pocket-Size 3-liter) are $29.99. (The large canister holds approximately 200 one-second inhalations.)
It’s easy to use — just place the mask over your mouth (don’t cover your nose), pull the trigger, breathe in the air, hold for 1-2 seconds, and then exhale as you would normally breathe.
So put down that energy drink and pick up a BOOST canister.
