She’s beautiful, talented and a pro snowboarder and now Brenna Huckaby, 22, is making history as the first Paralympian to star in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
Proudly posing with her prosthetic leg, the three-time world championship gold medalist had her right leg amputated after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2010, but she’s back on the slopes and competing in two events in this year’s Paralympics.
Speaking about the swimsuit spread, Brenna says she hopes to send an empowering message to other women.
‘Everyone should feel sexy. It doesn’t matter what your body looks like, when you feel good in your skin it shows. Let me tell you, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn’t feel good in your own skin!’ she said.
