The New York Post, which has up till now supported Trump, even endorsing him for President, turned on the President with a stinging front-page editorial which screamed in bold letters ‘stop the insanity’ and ‘You lost the election.’
Going even further, The Post called it an ‘undemocratic coup’ to prevent Congress from certifying the election vote; slammed Mike Flynn as ‘treasonous’ and advised the current President to ‘end this dark charade’ of trying to overturn the election results.
‘We understand, Mr. President, that you’re angry that you lost. But to continue down this road is ruinous,’ the editorial continued.
‘Democrats will try to write you off as a one-term aberration and, frankly, you’re helping them do it. The King Lear of Mar-a-Lago, ranting about the corruption of the world. You had every right to investigate the election. But let’s be clear: Those efforts have found nothing,’ the newspaper writes.
