Authorities with the Department of Homeland Security searched Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’s homes on Monday because he is a target of a federal investigation into human trafficking crimes.
Heavily armed teams of HSI agents rolled up to Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and the Miami area, many of them in armored vehicles.
Why such a show of armed force?
Apparently, authorities believe Combs employs armed private security at each of his residences.
Combs has been accused of sexual misconduct in five separate lawsuits filed in recent months – allegations the star has repeatedly denied.
One anonymous woman filed a federal lawsuit accusing Combs of sex trafficking and gang rape in 2003, when she was 17.
Today Combs’ lawyer angrily complained:
‘Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.’
