Drew Barrymore just announced that she is withdrawing as host of this Sunday’s MTV Movie and TV Awards to show solidarity with the striking writers.

“I have listened to the writers, and in order to truly respect them, I will pivot from hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards live in solidarity with the strike,” Barrymore said in a statement Thursday.

Prerecorded videos of Barrymore will likely still appear, but the MTV Movie and TV Awards show reportedly will be “hostless” and won’t feature a red carpet.
