Dolly Parton is known for keeping her politics close to her chest (sorry) but she broke her long-standing rule to voice her support for BLM, saying in an interview with Billboard Magazine: ‘And of course Black lives matter. Do we think our little white a**es are the only ones that matter? No!’

Explaining that she doesn’t like to comment on political matters because she’s ‘not a judgemental person’ adding that I do believe we all have a right to be exactly who we are, and it is not my place to judge. God is the judge, not us. I just try to be myself. I try to let everybody else be themselves.’

Famously, the only political statement the hit singer has made is supporting the LGBT movement.

Back in 2018, she told the Australian Broadcasting Agency that she believes the country should allow gay marriage.

‘Hey, I think love is love and we have no control over that … I think people should be allowed to marry.

‘Im not God, you know. I believe in God, I think God is the judge. I don’t judge or criticize and I don’t think we’re supposed to,’ she added.

We couldn’t love her anymore.
