This is a new one.

When a 32-year-old man from Australia was disruptive on a flight from Perth to Sydney, the plane was forced to turn around, which meant the pilot had to dump some fuel to land.

Now, the man has been ordered to pay $5,786 US “in reparation costs to the airline to cover the cost of fuel from the flight.”

While this is not a typical penalty, maybe it will catch on?
