On Tuesday morning, music mogul Sean Combs was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering, charged with running a ‘criminal enterprise’ that threatened and abused women.
The rapper, 54, has been formally charged with three crimes – racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Going back years, the indictment accuses him of ‘abusing, threatening and coercing women for years to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.’
Diddy’s entourage has also been accused of ‘sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution, coercion, and enticement to engage in prostitution, narcotics offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.’
Known as Diddy and Puff Daddy, he isn’t the only music performer to face criminal charges. Prosecutors successfully put away R. Kelly, the R&B singer who was sentenced to more than 30 years in prison for child sex crimes, sex trafficking, and racketeering.
