As Trump and his minions criticize Biden for his handling of the Afghan crisis, especially in negotiating with the Taliban for safe passage out of the country for Afghans that worked with US troops, she seems to have conveniently forgotten that just three years ago she worked with them on a so-called ‘peace deal.’

Yesterday the former UN Ambassador under Trump tweeted:

‘To have our Generals say that they are depending on diplomacy with the Taliban is an unbelievable scenario. Negotiating with the Taliban is like dealing with the devil,’ Haley wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.

Now let’s go back to 2018 when she boasted,  ‘We are seeing that we are closer to talks with the Taliban and the peace process than we’ve seen before.’

Trump went on to release Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, one of the co-founders of the Taliban and now one of the group’s main leaders and active in the recent take over of Afghanistan.

After she left Trump signed a peace deal with the Taliban and even invited one of their leaders to the White House. (See photographic evidence.)

Again, it’s a case of Republican amnesia.
