Kentucky, typically a ‘red state,’ turned blue last night as Democrat Andy Beshear bested Kentucky Republican Gov. Matt Bevin.

Trump had rallied for Bevin a day before polls opened, which, if anything, might have hurt the Republicans chances.

‘If you lose, they are going to say Trump suffered the greatest defeat in the history of the world,’ Trump told supporters; ‘You can’t let that happen to me!’

A smug Trump rallied in Lexington, Kentucky Monday night for Gov. Matt Bevin’s re-election.

Meanwhile, in a page straight out of the Republican playbook, Bevin is refusing to concede and insists on a recount.

The race was critical since it is seen as an indication that Democrats are gaining ground in red states.
