After a year of blocking middle seats to promote social distancing during the pandemic, Delta Air Lines announced that it will sell the unpopular middle spot starting May 1.

Saying that they expect nearly 65 percent of the general population to have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine by May 1, it gave “the assurance to offer customers the ability to choose any seat on our aircraft.”

“Now, with vaccinations becoming more widespread and confidence in travel rising, we’re ready to help customers reclaim their lives,” said Delta’s CEO.

Welcome back to being packed in like sardines.
