Where are you going to catch the last total solar eclipse in 20 years which takes place this April? No pressure.

If you move fast, you could score a ticket on Delta’s special solar eclipse flight that will fly along the ‘path of totality’ so you’ll experience the astronomical event at 30,000 feet. (It will cost you  $1,129 for the one-way flight.)

Delta flight 1218 will depart from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) at 12:15 p.m. CT and arrive at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) at 4:20 p.m. ET.

To enhance the viewing experience even more, Delta will be operating the Airbus A220-300 aircraft which has extra-large windows, the better to see the eclipse.

With only 130 seats on the aircraft, it’s bound to sell out quickly, but Delta promises to add other flights if that happens. Book directly on the Delta site.
