In N.Y. a Dr. Andrew Weber is now giving his Coronavirus patients huge does of Vitamin C — as much as  1,500 milligrams of intravenous vitamin C four times a day.

After China’s Zhongnan Hospital in the epicenter of the virus reported surprising results with the Vitamin C regimen more doctors are testing in on critically ill patients.

Dr. Weber said ”The patients who received vitamin C did significantly better than those who did not get vitamin C,’ he said. ‘It helps a tremendous amount, but it is not highlighted because it’s not a sexy drug.’

This may be a good time to ignore the  FDA’s recommended dosage and ratchet it up. Chances are you’re not getting enough in your daily diet. (For adults, the recommended daily amount for vitamin C is 65 to 90 milligrams (mg) a day, and the upper limit is 2,000 mg a day.)
