Unless you’ve been at wild rave and haven’t checked the news for a week (in that case, lucky you!) , we’ll recap for you: Johnson & Johnson was ordered to pay the state of Oklahoma $572 million in a landmark ruling, blaming the company for years of opioid deaths and overdoses.

In making the punitive judgment, the judge cited the company’s’ overly aggressive marketing tactics’ such as encouraging doctors to prescribe OxyContin for patients with moderate to severe pain.

We haven’t heard the last of this.
