On August 9th, fully vaccinated citizens and permanent residents of the United States currently residing in the US will be permitted to enter Canada.

It’s been a long 16 months that the border had remained closed in order to stop the spread of COVID.

Non-essential travel had been banned since March 2020.

But for international travelers, the wait will be a little longer; only in September will they be able to fly to Canada providing the  “COVID-19 epidemiology remains favorable.”

And ALL travelers — even if they are vaccinated —  will need a negative COVID test within 72 hours of requesting entry.
