You know her best as ‘Dr. Pimple Popper’ but for those of us beyond-zit-age (thank goodness!), we swear by the dermatologist’s SLMD anti-aging skincare line. And now Dr. Sandra Lee has launched a mineral powder sunscreen, UV Bounce, with a broad spectrum 30 SPF which we tested this weekend.

So what did we think? Firstly, it goes on just like your regular powder and since it’s mineral it won’t make your skin break out like some of those cream sunscreens. Bonus: it perfects your complexion while still giving you 30 broad-spectrum SPF (meaning it blocks both UVA and UVB rays). And it also protects against blue light (hello, iPhone.)

While you can use it on its own it can also set your makeup, perfect for pool parties or backyard BBQ’s. As with all sunscreen, you need to reapply every two hours — more often if you hit the waves. We loved the compact brush-on applicator which fits easily into our Beach fanny pack (don’t judge) and the way it looked while it protected us from dangerous rays. It comes in three sheer tints and looks completely natural – but better.

A single applicator should last 3 months (so basically, all this summer.) $40.

So just Bounce those rays!
