This photo was taken moments after US tourist Kimberly Sue Endecott was rescued after being abducted in Uganda.

Kimberly Sue Endicott, the US tourist kidnapped by Ugandans, was released after her ransom of $500,000 was paid this weekend. A source reported that the handover was “quiet and peaceful.”
Endicott and her tour guide were not harmed. Reporting that the kidnappers fled when police moved in, they are still hunting the men.
The kidnappers used their hostages’ cell phones to issue ransom demands, but the US government issued a statement saying they did not negotiate with kidnappers, so it’s still a mystery as to who paid the ransom. Some speculate that the tour company, Wild Frontiers, quietly supplied the ransom.
Ms.Endicott was immediately taken by helicopter to a hospital and then will be flown home.
