Did you know that rain on top of snow makes the snowpack SEVEN times heavier?

That’s just one of the problems facing California as another powerful storm moves into most of the State, after record snowfall.

As emergency crews furiously shovel snow off roofs — which could collapse — the danger of widespread flooding is an issue as well.

“Multiple rounds of rainfall in addition to melting snow will result in the potential for significant rises along streams and rivers, with widespread flooding impacts possible through early next week,” the National Water Center warned Thursday.
