Former President Obama just released a 12-minute video urging Democrats to unite behind Biden. In the short video, he says Biden is  ‘the kind of leadership guided by knowledge and experience, honesty and humility, empathy and grace.’

‘That kind of leadership doesn’t just belong in our state capitals and mayors offices, it belongs in the White House,’ Obama said. ‘And that’s why I’m so proud to endorse Joe Biden for president of the United States.’

Speaking of his tenure in office with Biden, Obama said choosing Biden to be his vice president was one of the ‘best decisions’ he ever made – and called Biden a ‘good friend.’

A gracious Obama also thanked Bernie Sanders, saying he is an ‘American original’ and said Sanders’ ideas would be needed.

He ended the video with a pledge: ”And I will see you on the campaign trail, as soon as I can.’
