‘El Chapo” Guzmán, the dangerous Mexican drug lord who ran the Sinaloa cartel was found guilty on all counts (10) and sentenced to life in prison Tuesday.

The prosecution’s case was strong, with over 200 hours of testimony from 56 witnesses. Key was the cooperation from drug offenders and cartel members who were already serving time.

Twice before Guzmán has escaped from Mexican jails — once through a tunnel and once in a laundry cart — but this time he’ll be in a US prison.
