Bowing to Coronavirus concerns, the only two candidates left standing —  Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden – just announced they are canceling their planned campaign events tonight in Cleveland.

As well, CNN went on the record saying it would cancel the live audience for the debate it is hosting in Phoenix this Sunday ahead of the next round of primaries.

‘At the request of the campaigns and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to eliminate the debate live audience, the press filing center and spin room in Phoenix,’ the network said in a statement.

Sanders’ cancellation came first.

‘Out of concern for public health and safety, we are canceling tonight’s rally in Cleveland,’ a Sanders spokesperson said. ‘We are heeding the public warnings from Ohio state officials, who have communicated concern about holding large, indoor events during the coronavirus outbreak.’ The spokesperson added that ‘All future Bernie 2020 events will be evaluated on a case by case basis.’

The Trump campaign has not announced any rally cancellations. Since Trump’s base usually believes anything he says, the crowds won’t be concerned about the virus which Trump compares to a ‘bad flu.’
