Joe Biden announced Monday that the US will donate 80 million doses of the vaccine to other nations as early as the end of June.

‘Today we’re taking an additional step to help the world,’ the president said during remarks at the White House Monday afternoon. ‘We know America will never be fully safe until the pandemic that’s raging globally is under control.’

‘No ocean is big enough, no wall’s high enough to keep us safe,’ Biden added.

Demand for the vaccine has diminished as most Americans who planned on getting the shot have already been innoculated.
