The late-night host John Oliver started his monologue by discussing Trump’s 90,000 square foot ballroom, describing it as “in a style best described as ‘medspa Versailles.’”
“The demolition of the White House, a metaphor that, if anything, is too on the nose,” he added.
Oliver also condemned the ongoing military strikes against vessels the government ‘alleges’ are smuggling drugs to the U.S., which have claimed the lives of over 40 people.
“The administration’s not provided public evidence for its claims, but even if they have some, I’ve watched enough JAG to know the typical approach to drug boats is to intercept them and arrest the suspects, not murder them with no due process,” the comic said.
