An irritated President-elect Trump complained about the order for American flags to be flown at half-staff to honor the late President Jimmy Carter, as is the custom after the death of a former President.
Complaining that they will be in that position “for the first time ever during an Inauguration of a future President,” he continued to scream on Truth Social:
“Nobody wants to see this, and no American can be happy about it. Let’s see how it plays out.”
Trump also falsely accussed Democrats of being “giddy” that flags will be at half-staff during his inauguration.
As you’ll remember, Trump had nothing good to say about Carter, calling him the “worst president.”
Carter similarly criticized Trump’s behavior and hinted that his 2016 election win was not legitimate, citing Russian “interference.”
