Israeli officials say that the hostages released by Hamas were drugged, and given tranquilizers to make them “look happy” as they were freed from captivity.

Dr. Hagar Mizrahi, the head of the Israeli Health Ministry’s medical division, claimed the hostages were dosed with clonazepam, a drug typically used to treat seizures and acute anxiety. Reportedly, this sedative would make them ‘seem’ happy despite the terror they had just been through.

What’s not known is if this was confirmed verbally by the hostages or the results of blood testing.

In another report, there is speculation that Hamas doesn’t want to release any more women and children because they could speak to the horror they endured.
