Let’s go back a week.

Last week on the podcast “The Water Cooler with David Brody,” GOP’s Greene complained to a nodding Brody about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to maintain a mask mandate on the House floor because of many GOP members are not vaccinated.

“This woman is mentally ill,” Greene said of Pelosi, D-Calif. “You know, we can look back in a time in history where people were told to wear a gold star and they were definitely treated like second-class citizens — so much so that they were put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany, and this is exactly the type of abuse that Nancy Pelosi is talking about.”

Yes, she did just compare wearing a mask to the Holocaust.

Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who you’ll remember was kicked out of her leadership position with the GOP after she continued to call out Trump’s electoral falsehoods, called Greene’s comparison an “evil lunacy” in a tweet.

A Change.org petition to have House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., expel her from Congress had attracted almost 50,000 signatures by Monday morning.

While you would think the fallout from this would get her removed, this is the same woman who promoted QAnon conspiracy theories and believes “Jewish space lasers” cause California wildfires.

So far, the only repercussions are that  Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., formally condemned her for spreading  “loony lies,” and the House — controlled by the Democrats — removed her from committees in February,  a vote backed by 11 Republicans.
