Like all of us, Björk (last name Guðmundsdóttir ) is staying home. On Monday the singer announced she will livestream all four concerts she’s staging at Harpa in her Reykjavík hometown.

In a short video posted to social media, she invited, well…everyone.

‘Dear friends. I would like to invite you to some concerts in Iceland in August to honor the folks who got hit hardest by the coronavirus and to honor the Black Lives Matter movement.’

Iceland has only suffered 10 deaths from COVID.

‘I feel like we are going through extraordinary times – horrifying but also an opportunity to truly change,’ Björk added.

‘[We must] look inside of us and find out all of our hidden prejudices and privileges. Let’s all humbly learn together to transform.’

The money raised will go to an Icelandic women’s shelter.
