Democracy won today when a federal judge by the name of Amit Mehta ruled that an accounting firm must turn over Donald Trumps’s financial records to the House oversight committee.
In a detailed 41 page opinion, the Judge struck down the White House attempt to block the subpoena, arguing that Congress is ‘well within its authority to investigate the President.’

Naturally, Trump called the decision ‘crazy’ and plans to appeal. Hopefully, this case will set a precedent and help the Democrats in their fight to get Trump’s tax returns. Stay tuned.
