Historically the third worst Hurricane to hit the U.S., Hurricane Michael left a catastrophic mess in the Florida Panhandle.

800,000 are still without power and entire neighborhoods have been decimated.

“It’s very hard to explain,” said Jason Gunderson, a member of the Cajun Navy rescue group. “The only way I can explain it, through my eyeballs, is a Third World country war zone.”

Two people have been killed so far by the massive Hurricane but officials expect that number to rise as they dig through ruins.

Hurricane Michael is blasting through central and eastern Georgia on its way to the storm-weary Carolinas.

For those in the area, let friends and family know you’re safe through the American Red Cross Safe and Well page and Facebook’s Safety Check on their Hurricane Michael Crisis Response page. To help the victims, The American Red Cross is reporting a critical need for blood. You can make an appointment either online, through their blood donor app or by calling 1-800-733-2767.
