As revelers flocked to beaches, parties, and outside events to celebrate July 4th, medical experts warn that it could provide the virus with ‘rocket fuel.’ On Saturday, Florida and Texas set new records for the deadly COVID virus with 45,300 new infections.

Reminder: The United States has the most infections and virus-related deaths in the world, with 2.8 million cases and nearly 130,000 dead.

Meanwhile, the President in his July 4th address complained the  U.S. was ‘testing too much’ and falsely claimed that  ‘by so doing, we show cases, 99 per cent of which are totally harmless.’

The mayor of Austin, Texas, where COVID-19 cases are soaring, called Trump’s remarks ‘dangerous’ and ‘wrong’ and urged Texans to listen to local officials rather than the ‘ambiguous message coming out of Washington.’

In California, Governor Newsom wisely closed all beaches which will help keep the virus numbers down in the future.
