My husband loves to cook (lucky me!) and has more knives than I can count. Some are hanging from a magnetic strip, others are nestled in wood blocks. So you wouldn’t think he’d need another knife, right?

But of course, he wants more so I had him test out the Verve Culture Thai Moon Knife (named for its round shape.) At $70 it’s a bargain.

Made of lightweight carbon steel it’s very sharp (he even cut through bone with it!)

Kevin liked its shape — said it made for easier cutting– and the thin blade made prepping veggies an easy task.

According to history, Thai blacksmiths made beautiful, intricate swords for the Thai-Burma war and passed the skill down from generation to generation.

Meanwhile, in this century, the Moon Knife is in heavy rotation in our house and still sharp after months of cutting. It works better than some of his knives worth three times as much.

You’d think that would mean we could get rid of some of his other knives, right?

Sigh.
