President  Trump, who apparently doesn’t have anything better to do, spent Friday morning tweeting wildly that he was winning the election.

‘The Election was a HOAX,’ he charged. Twitter promptly slapped it with a warning. Meanwhile, there has been NO evidence of voting fraud.

Now some Republicans are going against Trump to basically say give up.

Mitt Romney has been the most outspoken:

‘After counting every valid vote and allowing courts to resolve disputes, it is important to respect and promptly accept the result,’ said retiring Republican Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee.

Trump’s attempts to overturn the election results are increasingly seen as desperate and futile. Just this morning Georgia certified the election results showing Biden won after Trump had demanded a recount. “I live by the motto that numbers don’t lie,” the secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s top election official and a Republican said.

President-elect Joe Biden had the last word:

‘It’s hard to fathom how this man thinks,’ Biden said during a press conference in Wilmington on Thursday. ‘I’m confident he knows he hasn’t won, and is not going to be able to win, and we’re going to be sworn in on Jan 20.’
