Last week former VP Mike Pence relented and said he would not appeal a ruling to make him appear before a grand jury investigating January 6th.
Now Trump is trying to block Pence from testifying. It makes you wonder what his former VP knows about Trump’s actions leading up to the Capitol riot, and his boss’s plan to overturn the election.
Special Counsel Jack Smith is overseeing not just the Jan 6th probe but also another case looking into Trump’s handling of classified documents, namely taking stealing boxes of top secrets from the White House and hiding them in his Mar-a-Lao home.
When queried, Trump’s lawyers refused to say why they had filed the motion to stop Pence from testifying.
