Researchers at Cornell University released a ground-breaking study this week, saving that ‘misinformation about the coronavirus is a pressing threat to public health.’

No surprise to anyone who has been following the news, President Trump was named as the ‘single largest driver of COVID-19 misinformation’ and he factored in a whopping 37.9 % of false claims.

Remember all those ‘miracle cures’ Trump suggested, like the time he recommended ingesting bleach? Or that time he questioned using ultraviolet light to kill the virus — “supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just a very powerful light.’ Each time the President floated one of off-the-wall ideas search results spiked 300%.

Meanwhile, the President continues to do a victory lap, claiming that his administration deserves an A+ for their handling of the coronavirus pandemic, even though more than 200,000 Americans have died from the virus, the most deaths of any country.

“We’ve done a phenomenal job. Not just a good job, a phenomenal job,” Trump said in an interview on Fox and Friends, despite the fact that but more than  20% of the deaths reported during the pandemic worldwide have occurred in the U.S.
