‘Tripledemic’ Rages: Authorities Urge Indoor Masking.

Stopping short of advising mask mandates, medical experts and local officials in major cities are advising indoor masking as the ‘tripledemic’ hits the US.

A surge of  COVID, the flu and respiratory syncytial virus ( known as RSV) have created the triple whammy as hospital beds reach capacity.

Public health officials are urging masks in Washington, New York, Los Angeles and other places where transmissions are high.

In Los Angeles County, the COVID community level was moved to “high” last week. On Thursday, local public health director Dr. Barbara Ferrer urged residents to wear masks indoors, adding that a mask mandate may be imposed if COVID cases and hospitalizations continue to rise.
