Move over, Judi Dench. The actress, who at 85 held the record for the oldest woman to grace the cover of British Vogue, has now been supplanted by Apo Whang-Od, a tattoo artist from the Philippines.
The artist lives in a mountain village and is a traditional ‘Kalinga’ tattooist.
The ancient method creates tattoos using just a bamboo stick, a thorn from a pomelo tree, water and coal.
Asked how long she plans on working, the spunky senior replied ‘”As long as I can see well, I will keep giving tattoos. I’ll stop once my vision gets blurry.”
