The good news?

The $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill could pass the House today, but the $15 minimum wage increase probably won’t be in it as Republicans have threatened not to pass the bill if it’s included.

There’s is a sense of urgency though since federal unemployment benefits are set to expire on March 14th.

In a nutshell, the legislation provides direct payments plus additional assistance for the unemployed, hungry, uninsured and at risk of losing their homes. It also would provide a much-needed bigger tax break for parents.

And it looks like the original payouts to Americans that Biden proposed will pass  — $1,400 per person to families earning less than $200,000 a year and individuals earning less than $100,000 a year.
