Australia is known for its kangaroos and Kolas but it’s also home to “the happiest animal on Earth’ — the adorable quokka. So when a couple headed out on a bike tour of Rottnest, just off the coast of Western Australia, they were pretty sure they’d run into a few of these always-smiling animals.
After not more than a mile, Campbell Jones and his girlfriend stopped to say hi to a friendly quokka and snap a photo. Not only was the mischevious animal happy to pose for pics, when Campbell went to get back on his bike, the quokka followed him, resulting in this amazing photo.
We all want a pet quokka now.
